LA CHIESA LUNGO LA FERROVIA SVIZZERA -
THE CHURCH ALONG THE SWISS RAILROAD -
DIE KIRCHE ENTLANG DER SCHWEIZER EISENBAHN
Peter is building landscape modules , inspired
on a Swiss landscape. A single track will come out of a
the left hand side, run over a bridge, pass a ruine and will
leave again through a tunnel on the right hand side. Overhead catenary
is the SBB-CFF -FFS style but we also have DB catenary.
We will cover periods II through VI with rolling stock.
under construction : the FS ALe 840
Update 18/12/2019 :
We assembeled the layout again, after the exposition in Friedrichshafen.
To transport the layout, we build boxes in which all parts are put in,
so everything is protected.
The transport of the catenary system :
The catenary is tensed up on bothe sides of the layout in the small black technical boxes.
box also contains the command system for the trains and track
related products (switsches and signals) : ECoS with booster,
router and the FUNKY system.
A cooling fan is build in to prevent excessive heating of the command system.
other box contains the domotica system (Crestron) and the connection
panel (connection with the stroboscopes, lights in the buildings, sound
system, layout lighting)
Technical black box, the ECoS is not yet installed.
This box corresponds with the box nr 2 here below
Box 6 : Crestron system
Box 2 : ECoS - FUNKY
The box with
the painted number 6 on it, is the transportbox of the Crestron
layoutbox on his right hand side, idem for box nr 2.
ART-and-TRAINS catenary poles and signal.
Märklin SBB catenary poles, slightly modified.
: we are making landscape boxes to put in front of
existing layout so the trains are running through the landscape.
Everything is modular.
RGB led strip is enough , the light is reflected by the ALU foil and
the transparent cover (transparent multi-layer roof
be sure to mount the ledstrip on an aluminium bar (cooling of the led
signal from ArtandTrains.it
tried the catenary concept with the DB catenary (poles from
Demko and Wunder , see youtube video)
A lot of work is still needed ...
